Top Hat Studios has announced Tales of Tuscany, a quirky open-world RPG, set to launch on Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, on February 2, 2027. Developed by Nico Papalia, theindie title is a follow-up to the 2024 release Athenian Rhapsody.
Get ready to play as a sheep on a mission to save a broken world
In Tales of Tuscany, you play as Lambypoo, a little sheep caught in the middle of a major disaster. Lore-wise, the land of Tuscany has been destroyed by an evil wizard named Thunder Goober, leaving your cousins scattered across the world.
Your job is to explore the ruined land, rescue your cousins, and rebuild your village. You can either defeat enemies to earn EP or find ways to befriend them and bring them into your party. Almost every enemy can become a teammate, with unique stats, personalities, and BURST skills. You can even discover shiny versions of them.
Combat isn’t the only thing that makes the adventure interesting. Battles can introduce completely different mechanics, taking you through activities such as carving pumpkins, surfing at a public pool, and even completing paperwork. Lambyoo also has a dedicated BAAA button that lets you interact with the world, break objects, find items, talk to NPCs, and cause plenty of destruction.
The game also introduces Rhapsodies, collectible postcards that document each completed playthrough. They include your decisions, gameplay statistics, and an in-game photograph, allowing you to share your adventure with friends. You can even customize and trade these postcards across platforms. Overall, the game looks like a fun RPG thanks to its unusual characters, varied battles, and freedom to shape the world.
