Genshin Impact Reveals What’s in Store for Version 7.2, ‘Hour of Ruin

Genshin Impact is bringing another major story chapter on November 4th, when Version 7.2 goes live. Titled Hour of Ruin, the Nails of Retribution are awakening and threatening civilization. The Tsaritsa is calling representatives from all seven nations to Snezhnaya so they can figure out how to stop the growing disaster.

So, you’ll have a new region to explore in the eastern part of the nation while everything unfolds. Mitya and Valeriy are also joining the playable roster, bringing new ways to work with Stellar-Conduct reactions.

The new Archon Quest puts the nations of Teyvat in an unusual position, as they have to work together if they want to prevent civilization from being wiped out. You’ll work alongside the Archons, Neuvillette, and other allies from across Teyvat.

Completing the Archon Quest during the designated period will give you 560 Primogems along with Character Ascension Materials for Mitya. And if you take on the latest Secret Tsarist Assignments, you can also earn additional rewards, including a Wind Glider themed around Snezhnaya.

Genshin Impact Version 7.2 is also adding a new area in eastern Snezhnaya

The journey begins with a railway ride to Novokitezhgrad, Snezhnaya’s main producer of Kresnik Kristall. Unlike the snowy landscape outside, this city is built entirely underground and encased in Kresnik Kristall. The area is home to Old Kitezhgrad, the first city in Snezhnaya, which was founded by the Belyi Tsar.

Mitya, one of the two new playable characters, is a 5-star Electro Catalyst user. He’s known as an optimistic scientist who’s willing to challenge the Heavenly Principles.

Valeriy is the other new character arriving in Genshin Impact Version 7.2. He’s a 4-star Electro Sword user and serves as a disciplined Major of the Armory Palace.

Finally, Miliastra Wonderland is getting some additions, too. The mode will introduce a new lobby with a masquerade theme, a free 4-star cosmetic set, and an expanded selection of components, assets, and features for stage editing.
