Street Fighter X Kamen America: Championship Edition has passed $100,000 in Kickstarter pledges within its first 12 hours, bringing Capcom’s fighting game series together with the Kamen America comic in a new crossover.
The story centers on M. Bison, who is expanding Shadaloo’s forces through his DOLL program while recruiting fighters through the World Warrior Tournament. That puts him on a collision course with several Street Fighter characters entering the competition for their own reasons.
Carly Vanders and the Kamen Corps are also pulled into the conflict. After being struck by cosmic debris, Carly gained the ability to manipulate bio-electricity and became Kamen America. She fights alongside the Kamen Corps against monsters, superpowered enemies, and other threats.
The crossover sets up a direct clash between Street Fighter’s World Warriors and the Kamen Corps, with Bison and Shadaloo serving as the central threat.
