During the Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Direct (8.4.2026), new information for the latest entry in the Fire Emblem series was shared. The information included details on gameplay mechanics (both during and outside of combat), the backstory and motivations of the four heroes participating in the Heroic Games, and some of the other characters you’ll meet in the game. Perhaps the biggest reveal in the Direct was the main story which takes place after the Heroic Games and the game’s protagonist.The protagonist’s default name is Eshmel. Virginia Lee and Joshua Waters (taken from Nintendo Today! app article) provide their voice in English while Maaya Sakamoto and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka provide their voice in Japanese.

Their name and appearance are fully customizable. Progress is saved for each of the Heroes, so playing each story in parallel is also an option.The Heroic Games – The Heroic Games are a series of matches held in tribute to Dagda, the Empire’s first and founding king. Solel, the current ruler of the Dagdan Empire, will grant one wish to the ultimate winner. Achieving victory is no easy task, so preparation is key.Prepare for Battle – Explore Dagsion between matches to visit establishments for equipment, boons and more.
